Internal Teams Overview

We offer various opportunities throughout our internal departments for individuals with all levels of industry experience. We also provide a platform for graduates eager to start their career in financial services.

Our Internal Departments

Adviser Support prepare the documentation required for client meetings and are responsible for the day to day dealings with investment and insurance companies on behalf of our clients. They ensure that client information is recorded onto our database and deal with all client related communications via post, telephone and email.

Online Processing are responsible for preparing annual and ad-hoc valuations for our clients. They handle the administration of client investments, ensure our client database is kept up to date and assist with the production of client suitability reports along with all relevant paperwork for client meetings. In addition to this, they manage the administration of the Centralised Investment Proposition.

Paraplanning aide in the preparation of financial plans and suitability reports for our clients. They undertake research, both independently and in conjunction with our consultants, in order to identify suitable solutions to meet our clients' needs. They also prepare information and comparisons for analysis by the consultant.

BBT Group Career Journeys

Will Hodgson BSc (Hons)

Having worked for a well-known provider after University, I moved to BBT as an Online Processor in 2015. Since then, I have been given the motivation and support to undertake my Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning which I hope to attain in May. I will then move onto the Advanced Diploma examinations, yet again with the support from BBT.

In my time at BBT, I have moved from Online Processing to the Paraplanning department in mid-2016 where I have taken on a more senior role within the team, helping not only our financial planners but other up and coming Paraplanners. As part of the progression within the company, I have also taken on a role within our Investment Committee who deal with the research and ongoing management of our Centralised Investment Proposition.

All these steps are intended to put me in the best position to become a Financial Planner, something which I expressed an interest in during my initial interview. The company have tailored my training and support to reflect my personal goals.
